In each work from the “Othering” series of prints, there are twin, mirrored forms, similar to each other, but different. The works were inspired by the gesture of folding a piece of paper in half and the Rorschach test. The artist thus alludes to the issue of "drawing lines along," that is, putting up boundaries, artificial divisions and setting norms that divide societies and individuals according to religion, gender or ethnicity.
The creation of the "Other" is associated with the perception of people and groups in antagonizing terms, bringing alienation and marginalization. In her works, the artist counters the polarization with a paradigm of belonging, showing what unites instead of what divides.
